After a minor delay on Saturday in the town of Satun, Thailand (we missed the ferry to Malaysia because our bus arrived late)...we finally made it across the border early on Sunday morning. Now we are on the island of Langkawi, the Jewel of Kedah, it is part of an archipelago of ninety-nine islands in the Andaman Sea, some 30km off the mainland coast of northwestern Malaysia. We have found ourselves, yet again, on a beautiful island! I ran past rice paddy fields, water buffalo, and lizards this morning...but then the rain came in and it has been a pretty quiet day since then.
Full moon. Fishing store. White sand beach. Sea shells.
